CLASS DAYS/TIME:
Tuesdays, 2:00 – 2:50 PM EST, August – December (Calendar)
SYNOPSIS:
U. S. History I includes this:
- A Christian/pro-limited government view
- Key persons, events, movements, terms, and concepts involving U. S. History
- Audio-Visuals – Historical photos, paintings, television clips, radio broadcasts, political cartoons, and government propaganda posters and films
Students review many important ideas, persons, movements, and events in U. S. History I, including the origins of American liberty, America’s “conservative” revolution, the Constitution, the North/South War, and Reconstruction. Students also complete a reading/writing project based upon the life of Captain John Smith.
TEXT(S)/MATERIALS NEEDED:
- The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History
- Something that can open and produce .doc or .docx or .odt documents, like OnlyOffice, LibreOffice, or OpenOffice (because of Microsoft and Google’s very invasive nature, I strongly recommend against them; all three above office suites are free open-source software)
- High-speed Internet, email
