British Literature: A Christian Worldview

A complete, structured literature program for Christian schools and homeschool co-ops.
British Literature: A Christian Worldview is a four-volume set that brings together strong, worthwhile readings with clear guidance to help students understand and think about what they read. The selections include many exciting, edifying, and moving pieces that also demonstrate various aspects of British history and culture. The goal with this course is to help students engage with ideas, evaluate them carefully, and grow in discernment to be “filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” (Colossians 1:9).
This course is built to work well in both classrooms and co-ops, with support that keeps things clear and manageable:
- A 36-week reading schedule for Christian schools
- A 32-week reading schedule for homeschool co-ops
- Introductions that give helpful context before each selection
- Notes that explain difficult passages and highlight key ideas
- Review questions that lead naturally into discussion and reflection
- An answer key to questions for review
The structure helps reduce preparation time while still giving instructors flexibility in pacing and emphasis. It’s designed to support real conversations in class (not just check off assignments) and to fit comfortably within a standard high school literature course.
